Iris (on the right) died yesterday from cardiac arrest. She was at the vet clinic at the time. She and her brother Clarence lived with my parents (and with me, for the first few years). My brother and I gave them their names, and I still think of Iris as 'mine'.
I'm disturbed because I don't seem to be upset enough, but I haven't lived with them for a few years, and, while this was sudden (she had only been taken to the vet that morning), it wasn't entirely surprising. I'm more concerned about my family and especially Clarence.
